What’s new

Release notes

Small improvements to help you spend less time planning and more time together.

Latest

Clearer conversation and phone alerts

  • Group messages and event conversations now have phone alerts, with membership, privacy, read and mute checks before sending.
  • Mute group message alerts from its message board while keeping messages in your inbox.
  • Invitation and connection decisions have clearer alerts. Device settings can identify an outdated notification worker.
  • Improved delivery priority, bounded retries and device receipt tracing. Phone settings and connectivity can still affect delivery.

More reliable browsing

  • Reduced background work while pages load, with fewer repeated inbox checks as you move around the app.
  • Background updates wait longer between attempts when the connection is struggling.
  • Home shows a clear retry screen if your session cannot be checked temporarily.
  • Updated the app framework with the latest security patch for this release.

Find the right outing

  • Select event activities and age groups with quick badges. More details adds setting, registration, caregiver requirements and confirmed accessibility.
  • Discover filters those saved details and offers upcoming, starting-price and recently-added sorting. Load more events keeps browsing in manageable pages.
  • Phone navigation icons are smaller, and laptop layouts use more compact text and spacing.
  • Release refreshes show Updating app, please wait, with recovery options if loading takes too long.

A simpler start and smoother navigation

  • Create an account, then tap Request beta access. Your waiting screen opens automatically after admin approval, and we email approval to the same address.
  • The app prepares Home, Discover, Your people and My Events together, reuses recent results in memory, and shows clear feedback during slow navigation.
  • Authenticator verification now takes you straight to your profile.
  • Improved Dark Mode contrast for Refresh, Heading out, the Your people tabs and Beta badges. Appearance now matches the other profile cards.

Event costs, age groups and Dark Mode

  • Paid event cards identify ticket or admission costs separately from sponsorship. Organizers can add price details when creating or editing an event.
  • Choose intended age groups and a separate 18+ only label. Discover can filter by multiple age groups. Existing unlabeled events stay unspecified; parental controls are not part of this release.
  • Find the Dark Mode switch under Appearance on your profile. The app follows your device setting until you choose Light or Dark, and remembers your choice on this device.
  • App admins have a private Recently active card for beta support. It stores only the latest account activity time, with no browsing or message history.

My Family and clearer privacy

  • My Family in Your people brings together your invite-only family groups, shared upcoming plans and existing message boards. Family groups are free during beta.
  • Group cards show Public · Approval required or Invite only. Family groups are always invite only.
  • Choose Public or Invite only when creating or editing an event. Previously unlisted events now require an invitation or membership of the linked group; a link alone is no longer enough.
  • Member profiles show upcoming hosted events and RSVPs only when you can view both the profile and the event.
  • Try the new family mission with another beta tester by sharing or responding to a family plan.

Stay up to date

  • Find release notes, Privacy, Terms and Report a problem together under About LinkLemon on your Account page.
  • A new update notice appears above the navigation when a release is ready.
  • Idle browsing pages can refresh automatically. Pages with forms wait for you to choose Refresh, with a reminder about unsaved changes.
  • LinkLemon checks again when you return to the app. The update notice appears inside LinkLemon; it is separate from device notifications.

More ways to look after your group

  • Group owners can appoint co-owners and Group moderators. Role changes require confirmation, and a group always keeps at least one owner.
  • Group moderators can help with invitations, join requests and the message board. Group roles apply only within that group.
  • New members’ first message-board posts need approval by default. Group owners can manage this setting.
  • Connection profiles now show just the profile owner’s avatar.

This page highlights recent updates. During beta, your feedback helps guide what comes next.
